Erratum: Kumano and Uka, “Representation of Motion Direction in Visual Area MT Accounts for High Sensitivity to Centripetal Motion, Aligning with Efficient Coding of Retinal Motion Statistics”

In the article “Representation of Motion Direction in Visual Area MT Accounts for High Sensitivity to Centripetal Motion, Aligning with Efficient Coding of Retinal Motion Statistics,” by Hironori Kumano and Takanori Uka, a superscript was inadvertently omitted, which appeared on pages 5893–5904 of the August 16, 2023 issue.

On page 5895, in the “Population Fisher Information Analysis” subsection of the Materials and Methods, the sentence ending “…and σ_i(θ) is the variance of the response of the i_th neuron at θ.” should have included a superscript 2 after “σ_i(θ).”

This correction does not affect the conclusions of the article. The online version has been corrected.
