In the original version of the Research Article, “River network rearrangements promote speciation in lowland Amazonian birds” the authors erroneously identified two samples (MPEG T474 and MPEG T476) as synoptic in the following sentence: “These two overlapping populations were also syntopic, as they included two individuals, one from each population, collected at the same locality and date (MPEG T474 and MPEG T476).” The sentence has been removed as T494 and A474 are indeed from different populations, they are not found at the same locality. Considering this error, “syntopic” has been updated to “sympatric” later in the Discussion section.
