The 70th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISACON 2023) was the first conference to be hosted by the state of Haryana in the city of Gurugram, the land of Guru Dronacharya, from 22nd to 26th November 2023. This conference drew large crowds both nationally and internationally. The Scientific committee worked tirelessly to draw up a scientific program catering to all fields of anaesthesia, keeping recent developments and advances in mind. The theme “Innovate. Integrate. Inspire” was aimed to stimulate young anaesthesiologists to merge their technological skills and the art of anaesthesia.
The scientific committee received over 800 abstracts, with around 200 in the award category and 300 free papers. These abstracts highlighted the latest developments in the field and catered to all the sub-specialities of anaesthesia. The committee would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Apra Singh Rai, Dr. Iccha Singh, Dr. Rakesh Garg (Editor-in-Chief, Indian Journal of Anaesthesia) and all the reviewers for their time and support rendered. The meticulous organisation of the award and free papers was rendered with Dr. Anand Sharma and Dr. Anshul Bhatia (Scientific Secretary ISACON 2023).
The organising committee would also like to thank the ISA National for allowing it to conduct this prestigious conference. I would also like to thank Dr. M.V. Bhimeshwar (President, ISA National) for bestowing his confidence in us. We would also want to express our thanks to Dr. Mahesh Kumar Sinha (Vice President, ISA National), Dr. Sukhminder Jit Singh Bajwa (Honorary Secretary, ISA National), Dr. Venkatagiri K.M. (Chairman Academic Committee, ISA National) for their valuable inputs. We would also like to thank all the ISA National members for their advice and encouragement.
