As Jacques Chretien once said: “If you see five cases of sarcoidosis, you know nothing about sarcoidosis. If you see fifty cases of sarcoidosis, you know everything about sarcoidosis. If you see five hundred cases of sarcoidosis, you know nothing about sarcoidosis”.
Over the years, the Chief Editors have seen thousands of cases of sarcoidosis and remain fascinated with the various ways the disease manifests itself. We have received many interesting case reports and have had to reject many of them for the interest of space.
It has occurred to us that a series of brief cases with associated images would be useful to present to our readers. These cases will be chosen not for their uniqueness but their educational aspects. We hope to give health care providers interested in sarcoidosis images that will help in making the diagnosis of sarcoidosis.
We will accept these cases from our readership. We want to publish clear cut examples of the disease. The cases do not have to be unique, but the images should provide a clear example of a manifestation of sarcoidosis. We ask that the cases be accompanied by a short (500 word) text and no more than ten references.
We look forward to hearing from you.
