Abstract
Iron‐Refractory Anemia
In article number 2307022, Yatrik M. Shah, Junxia Min, Fudi Wang, and co‐workers show hypoxia and the HIF‐PH inhibitor as anemia novel therapies through Hif2α (phoenix) mediated transcriptional upregulation of Fpn (dragon) in the intestinal villi (mountains). Increased Fpn transports more iron into the circulation (depicted by the dragon's breath), thereby treating anemia (red blood cell). The illustration is inspired by the Year of the dragon 2024 and the traditional Chinese story of “The Auspicious Dragon and Phoenix”, symbolic creatures that represent good fortune.
