Retracted: “Lovastatin Inhibits RhoA to Suppress Canonical Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling and Alternative Wnt-YAP/TAZ Signaling in Colon Cancer”

PMCID: PMC10999123  PMID: 38581246

At the request of Sage Publishing and the Journal Editors, the following article has been retracted:

Xiao Y, Liu Q, Peng N, et al. Lovastatin Inhibits RhoA to Suppress Canonical Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling and Alternative Wnt-YAP/TAZ Signaling in Colon Cancer. Cell Transplantation. 2022;31. doi:10.1177/09636897221075749

Sage Publishing was notified of a PubPeer post discussing this article. The concerns were as follows:

In Figure 3C 1 , the β-catenin row appears highly similar to the β-catenin row in Figure 5F of a previously published article. 2

Authors have explained that this duplication occurred due to errors when categorizing their Western Blot experiments.

The authors provided some of the original images underlying Figure 3C, but not the images to resolve the concerns raised.

Due to uncertainty around the integrity of the original images that call into question the validity of the findings, the Editor retracts this article.

C.B. disagrees with the decision to retract. All other authors did not respond when notified of the retraction.
