Correction to “Low-Resource Nucleic Acid Extraction Method Enabled by High-Gradient Magnetic Separation”

In the original article, on page 12459, in section 2.2, there was a critical typo in the EDTA composition of the chaotropic wash buffer, which causes the extraction chemistry to fail. The composition of the chaotropic wash buffer should be [84% ethanol, 640 mM guanidine thiocyanate, 1.6 mM Tris HCl (pH 8), and 160 μM EDTA (pH 8)]. This correction does not alter the major conclusions of this work because the correct buffer was used in the experiments.
