Erratum for the Research Resource: “Deep brain stimulation of the subgenual cingulum and uncinate fasciculus for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder” by Hamani et al.

PMCID: PMC11094697  PMID: 38363848

Due to an error in considering severity and frequency ratings of the Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale together rather than severity alone, there was a calculation error in the original version of the Research Resource, “Deep brain stimulation of the subgenual cingulum and uncinate fasciculus for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder,” by Hamani et al. As a result, some values reported in the main text, Fig. 2, Tables 1 and 2, and table S4 were incorrect. The following corrections have been implemented:

• In the Abstract, the value previously reported as “55%” has been corrected to “56%.”

• In “Participants, surgical procedure, and safety,” the value previously reported as “77.5 ± 20.5” has been corrected to “60.5 ± 2.4.”

• In “Outcome,” the value previously reported as 55.4 ± 19.8%” has been corrected to “56.2 ± 19.1%.” The phrase “by 58.75 ± 19.2%” was removed after “increased.”

• In “Psychophysiological testing,” the baseline “r = −0.86” was changed to “r = −0.87” and the postoperative period “r = 0.70” was changed to “r = −0.70.”

• In “Discussion,” “55%” has been corrected to “56.2%,” “35%” has been corrected to “35.1%,” and “87.5%” has been corrected to “87.3%.”

• Fig. 2 has been corrected to reflect the accurate values. In the caption, the following values were changed: “55.4%” to “56.2%;” “87.5%” to “87.3%;” “35%” to “35.15;” and “12%” to:15.2%.”

• Table 1 has been corrected to include the correct values in the “CAPS” column.

• Table 2 has been corrected to include the correct values for all columns in the “CAPS,” “Criterion B,” “Criterion C,” and “Criterion D” rows under “PTSD.”

• Table S1 has been corrected to include the correct values in the “Baseline,” “wk 2,” “3mo,” “6mo,” and “% improvement 6mo” columns.

The authors’ conclusions are not affected by these corrections. The main text, Fig. 2, Tables 1 and 2, and the supplementary materials PDF have been updated.
