Erratum to: Cell Mol Life Sci DOI 10.1007/s00018-013-1338-9

In the published version of the manuscript, there is a typographical error in the “Statistical analysis” paragraph on page 4,

“where $M={\mathit{\beta }}_0,A=\surd ({\mathit{\beta }}_1+{\mathit{\beta }}_{22})\text{and}\mathit{\phi }=(24/2\mathit{\pi }){tan}^{-1}({\mathit{\beta }}_1/{\mathit{\beta }}_2).$”

The correct sentence should read as

where $M={\mathit{\beta }}_0,A=\surd ({\mathit{\beta }}_1^2+{\mathit{\beta }}_2^2)\text{and}\mathit{\phi }=(24/2\mathit{\pi }){tan}^{-1}({\mathit{\beta }}_1/{\mathit{\beta }}_2).$
