Former general practitioner Heanor, Derbyshire (b 1917; q University College Dublin 1939), d 10 October 2001.
He came to Heanor in 1945 and started a singlehanded practice in the town before joining two other doctors. He was popular, particularly with children. After retiring in 1983, he returned to Ireland. He enjoyed golf and travel.
