Former family doctor Greenlaw, Berwickshire (b 1927; q Glasgow 1951; DRCOG), died peacefully at home on 25 December 2001.
She shared in a traditional husband and wife partnership practice in Greenlaw for many years and was able to initiate family planning services in Berwickshire. Despite progressive disability caused by multiple sclerosis, she continued to consult from a wheelchair. Following retirement, she remained an active participant on medical committees and organisations for disabled people. She leaves a husband, Ian; two children; and five grandchildren.
