Former general practitioner Telford (b Leeds 1921; q King's College Hospital 1945), d 5 May 2002.
In 1951, he and his wife, Marion, were jointly appointed principals in general practice in Madeley, Staffordshire. When Telford New Town began to take shape, they moved the centre of the practice to the first of the new estates, and began to take in partners to cope with the new population. Jock retired from full time practice in 1973 and was ordained as an Anglican minister in 1976. He officiated in Telford parishes until 1984, when, after he left home to live with Mrs Ronwyn Walker, his licence was revoked. He leaves his first wife, Marion; four children; seven grandchildren; and his second wife, Ronwyn.
