General practitioner Sheffield (b Oldham, Lancashire, 1950; q Sheffield 1973), died suddenly from a heart attack on 23 June 2002.
After a three year registrar rotation post at the Sheffield Royal Infirmary, John decided that general practice would be his forte. He was a police surgeon, and held the post of GP trainer and local medical director for Healthcall Deputising Service until his death. His passion for his Morgan and classic cars was only surpassed by his love of general practice. John was an expert at mechanics and would help anyone who needed his assistance. He leaves a wife, Jane; and two children.
