Korean Journal of Neurotrauma (KJNT), initially published under the name “Journal of Korean Neurotraumatology Society” in 2005, began publishing under its current name, KJNT, in 2012. Following its registration with the National Research Foundation of Korea, it achieved both quantitative and qualitative growth. Recently having been indexed in SCOPUS, KJNT is steadfastly advancing as an international academic journal.

KJNT is currently poised to enter the SCIE, marking its evolution as an international academic journal. In pursuit of this goal, the journal has implemented several strategies:

  • 1. A rapid peer-review system has been instituted, enabling authors to promptly ascertain the acceptance status of their submissions.

  • 2. The creation of graphical abstracts is facilitated, thereby providing authors with a convenient method to repurpose their research findings for subsequent publications.

  • 3. Special issues are curated for each publication cycle, featuring related review articles, thus enhancing the ease of citation in other journals.

  • 4. As an open-access journal, KJNT ensures unrestricted access for the global research community.

  • 5. A proactive promotional strategy has been adopted that leverages social media networks, such as Facebook and Instagram, for the immediate dissemination of newly published issues.

Over the past five years, KJNT has achieved more than double its qualitative and quantitative growth compared to previous periods. We believe that our journal’s further advancement will begin by being indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index. Moreover, active submissions and participation from our readers will greatly contribute to elevating the status of KJNT as an international academic journal.
