Former general practitioner Alnwick, Northumberland (b 1910; q Durham 1933), d 6 January 2003.
After qualifying Richard Blaiklock worked at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle and then at the Princess Mary Maternity Hospital before joining a general practice in Alnwick in 1936. Apart from two years in Italy with the Royal Army Medical Corps during the second world war, he continued to serve the people of Alnwick until his retirement in 1975. He was chairman of the medical staff committee of the local general practitioner run hospital. He leaves a wife, Peggy, two daughters, and seven grandchildren.
