Former assistant in general practice East Harling, Norfolk (b Cambridge 1961; q Charing Cross, London, 1985), died from breast cancer on 28 October 2002.
Carol came to Norwich for her first house officer post and stayed to complete general practice training. She then worked part time in a rural practice in Norfolk until she had to retire because of ill health. Carol played an active part in village life as a church-warden and then as a reader in her local church. Despite repeated courses of chemotherapy Carol was determined to live life to the full and continued to plan for the future of her family without her. She leaves a husband, Bill, and two children.
