Corrigendum to “Sizzled (Frzb3) physically interacts with noncanonical Wnt ligands to inhibit gastrulation cell movement” [Volume 47, Issue 6, June 2024, 100068. start page – end page]

The authors regret that there were inaccuracies in the original publication.

Specifically, we need to delete 2 sentences and change 3 words in our manuscript.

These errors are as follows (location is as per published manuscript):

Deletion of sentences

  • 1.

    Location: In Results 4 [Sizzled Inhibits Gastrulation Cell Movement Without Cell Fate

    Alteration], the sentence starting from 28th line of this result section:

    Current sentence: “The results demonstrated that similar to ventx1.1 treatment, Frzb3 could not influence the expression of cell fate marker genes compared to control animal caps (Fig. 4B).”

    Correction: This sentence should be deleted.

  • 2.

    Location: In Discussion in the section of “Sizzled, as a noncanonical Wnt inhibitor,” the sentence starting from 12th line:

    Current sentence: “Moreover, their findings weakly suggested that Sizzled did not inhibit noncanonical xWnt11 (Collavin and Kirschner, 2003).”

    Correction: This sentence should be deleted.

Change of words

  • 1.

    Location: In Keywords, the word Convergent should be changed to Convergence.

  • 2.

    Location: Last line of Results 1 [Bmp4 inhibits activin-induced CE movement in Xenopus embryos]

    Current sentence: “Taken together, these results suggest a potential role of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMP) in inhibiting cell movement at the dorsal side of embryos.”

    Correction: Replace “dorsal” with “ventral.” The corrected sentence should read “Taken together, these results suggest a potential role of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMP) in inhibiting cell movement at the ventral side of embryos.”

  • 3.

    Location: In the title of Results 5:

    Current title: “Frzb3 physically interacts with noncanonical Wnt ligands and reduces active form of small GTPases, Rac1 and RhoA expression.”

    Correction: Delete the word “expression.” The corrected title should read “Frzb3 physically interacts with noncanonical Wnt ligands and reduces active form of small GTPases, Rac1 and RhoA.”

  • 4.

    Location: Results 5, sentence starting from 26th line of this Result section:

    Current sentence: “Frzb3 reduced the expression of active form of noncanonical Wnt signaling mediator molecules.

    ”Correction: Delete the word “expression of.” The corrected sentence should read as “Frzb3 reduced the active form of noncanonical Wnt signaling mediator molecules.”

  • 5.

    Location: Discussion section of “Sizzled, as a noncanonical Wnt inhibitor” in the sentence at 52nd line:

    Current sentence: “By elucidating their role in noncanonical Wnt-mediated cell movement and its impact on small GTPase expression.”

    Correction: Replace “expression” with “activation.” The corrected sentence should read “By elucidating their role in noncanonical Wnt-mediated cell movement and its impact on small GTPase activation.”

  • 6.

    Location: In the Introduction section in 10th line, the Convergent and extension (CE) should be changed to Convergence and extension (CE).
