Representative images of ear lesions of L. braziliensis-infected BALB/c mice intraperitoneally treated with different therapeutic regimens of 17-DMAG. BALB/c mice were infected in the ear with 105 stationary phase promastigotes of L. braziliensis and, after two weeks, animals were intraperitoneally treated for 30 days, with the following dose regimens: (E–H) 20 mg/kg daily, (I–L) 30 mg/kg every two days, or (M–P) 50 mg/kg every five days. (A–D) Control mice received a daily intraperitoneally injection of 5% of glucose solution. Images were obtained from each animal in the experimental groups on the 30th day of treatment.
