Retraction Notice: “Deregulation of MicroRNA-375 Inhibits Proliferation and Migration in Gastric Cancer in Association With Autophagy-Mediated AKT/mTOR Signaling Pathways.”

Sage was made aware of a PubPeer discussing the figures in this article. The concerns raised were:

  1. In Figure 1H MKN-45 0  h image appears highly similar to GT3TKB 48  h.

  2. In Figure 2(K) LV3-NC 24  h image appears highly similar to MKN-45 0  h in Figure 1(H).

  3. In Figure 2(L) miR-375-mimics 0  h appears highly similar miR-375-mimics 24  h.

  4. In Figure 3D Slug panel LV3-NC lane appears to be an inverted image of N-cadherin panel in LV3-NC lane in Figure 3D.

  5. In Figure 5E p-mTOR in LV3-NC lane appears highly similar to mTOR in miR-375-mimic lane.

The corresponding author explained that the first author had left the lab several years prior and the authors are unable to recover the original data associated with the paper, hence verification of the data and correction is not possible without repeating the experiments.

Due to the unexplained anomalies in the figures of this research and unavailability of the original data, that call into question the overall integrity of the research, the Executive Editor retracts this article.

The authors did not agree with the retraction.
