Segmentation inpainting of a large brainstem lesion. MRI scanning of patient 15 (see Supplementary Table) revealed a large hemorrhagic lesion spanning the entirety of the midbrain, as seen in the sagittal view (left), and bordering the PAG, mRt, PTg, and VTA. Automated segmentation of AAN nuclei in both the SWI and the T1 images yielded significant inpainting of the PAG, and to a lesser degree the VTA, inside of the lesion margins.
