Following publication of the article [1], it came to the attention of the author’s that there was an error concerning the ordering of a primer detailed in the Methods subsection, Single step PCR for Plasmodium sporozoite detection based on the cytochrome oxidase I. Namely, where it now (correctly) says ‘COX-IR (5′ ACTTAATGGTGGATATAAAGTCCATCCwGT 3′)’, it had said ‘COX-IR (3′ ACTTAATGGTGGATATAAAGTCCATCCwGT 5′)’.
