Table 1. Mean change in pain scale among patients before and after cannabinoid use.

This table displays the results of a paired t-test analysis examining the mean change in pain scale before and after the intervention with cannabis products. The data have been represented as N, mean, SD, and SEM. Before taking cannabis, the mean pain rating was 6.16 (SD = 2.174), based on data from 45 patients. After taking cannabis, the mean pain rating decreased to 3.89 (SD = 2.014), also based on data from 45 patients. The paired t-test yielded a statistically significant mean pain scale difference of 2.267 (t = 7.717, df = 44, p < 0.001), indicating a highly significant reduction in pain severity following the administration of cannabis products compared to baseline levels.

SD, standard deviation; SEM, standard error mean

Pain Mean N SD SEM
Pain rating before taking cannabis 6.16 45 2.174 0.324
Pain rating after taking cannabis 3.89 45 2.014 0.3
