This is a correction to: Antonio Laganà et al., Sterile inflammation induced by respirable micro and nano polystyrene particles in the pathogenesis of pulmonary diseases, Toxicology Research, Volume 13, Issue 5, October 2024, https://doi.org/10.1093/toxres/tfae138

In the originally published paper, there first author's first and last names were transposed in error. Their name now is corrected to read: ``Antonio Laganà'' instead of: ``Laganà Antonio''. Emendation is made in the paper.
