Colposcopy Rates Reported Incorrectly

PMCID: PMC11893080  PMID: 30120459

In the Editorial entitled “Replacing the Pap Test With Screening Based on Human Papillomavirus Assays,”1 published in the July 3, 2018, issue, the rates of colposcopy from the accompanying Original Investigation were reported incorrectly. The full sentence should have read as follows: “Among women in the HPV FOCAL trial, one round of HPV testing, compared with cytology testing, led to more colposcopies after enrollment screening (rates per 1000 of 57.0 vs 30.8, respectively) and earlier detection of precancer, with a reduction in colposcopies in the HPV testing group than the cytology testing group at the exit screening round at 48 months (colposcopy rates per 1000 of 49.2 vs 70.5, respectively).” This article was corrected online.
