We thank Dr. Fletcher for his attention1 to our paper published in EHP.2 In view of his suggestions, we reanalyzed some of the main results. A reanalysis of the hazard ratios reported in Table 3 resulted in substantial attenuation of the associations. Therefore, the results of the reanalysis no longer support the conclusions of the original manuscript. Based on discussions between our authorship team and the EHP editors, our paper is being retracted at our request.
