DNA index — parameter for the prediction of prognosis and primary radioresistance?

Abstract

It was shown in the present study that irradiation of a multiclonal tumor may destroy near-diploid cell clones preferentially, while the stemline with high DNA content continues to grow after temporary arrest. This experimental observation confirms recent clinical studies.
