Inhibition of hyaluronidase by dextransulfate and its possible application in anticancer treatment

Abstract

Hyaluronidase is competitively inhibited by dextransulfate. Hyaluronidase depolymerizes the amorphous component of the interstitial connective tissue and therefore supports tumor spread and metastasis. These processes may be reduced by dextransulfate.
