In the article by Yao et al, “Differential Associations of Cigar, Pipe, and Smokeless Tobacco Use Versus Combustible Cigarette Use With Subclinical Markers of Inflammation, Thrombosis, and Atherosclerosis: The Cross-Cohort Collaboration–Tobacco Working Group,” which published online on January 27, 2025, and appears in the April 8, 2025, issue of the journal (Circulation. 2025;151:993–1005. doi: 10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.124.070852), a correction is needed.

The numbers in columns “Prevalent carotid plaque” and “Prevalent ABI≤0.9” were incorrectly listed due to a mistake in Table formatting during our revisions. Specifically, the values from the columns “CAC+1” and “cIMT” were mistakenly duplicated into columns “Prevalent carotid plaque” and “Prevalent ABI≤0.9”, overwriting the original correct values. To resolve this, we have restored the original values that were intended for these cells.

The article, including the discussion and conclusion, was written based on the correct numbers that were originally intended for the “Prevalent Carotid Plaque” and “Prevalent ABI ≤ 0.9” columns. Therefore, no revision was required for the article text.

The incorrect numbers in these cells have been corrected. The main content of the manuscript remains unchanged, as it was written using the correct numbers from the outset of our paper submission.

The correction has been made in the online version of the article, which is available at: https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/abs/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.124.070852.
