Regarding the original publication, a reader raised concerns regarding insufficient methodological transparency. To address this, the following elements have been added:

• 2.A participant recruitment flowchart (Figure S4. Recruitment flowchart, related to STAR Methods)
• 3.Full participant metadata (Table S9. Metadata of participant demographics and clinical characteristics, related to Table 1)

These corrections have been incorporated published article. They were deemed necessary by the editorial team, following a thorough review of the raw data, to uphold iScience’s publication standards. The additions clarify participant selection criteria, study design, and the study’s connection to its parent project, thereby ensuring transparency and reproducibility.
