Correction to: Alpha_Mesh_Swc: automatic and robust surface mesh generation from the skeleton description of brain cells

PMCID: PMC12466113  PMID: 41004132

This is a correction to: Alex McSweeney-Davis, Chengran Fang, Emmanuel Caruyer, Anne Kerbrat, Jing-Rebecca Li, Alpha_Mesh_Swc: automatic and robust surface mesh generation from the skeleton description of brain cells, Briefings in Bioinformatics, Volume 26, Issue 3, May 2025, bbaf258, 10.1093/bib/bbaf258

In the originally published version of this manuscript, the following sentences in the section entitled `The AMS method' mistakenly cited ``Glaser JR, Glaser EM. Neuron imaging with Neurolucida—a PC-based system for image combining microscopy. Comput Med Imaging Graph 1990;14:307–17. 10.1016/0895-6111(90)90105-K'':

``However, in contrast to Ultraliser, which uses a fixed grid of Cartesian cubes in three dimensions, we rely on the Alpha Wrap method [32], which can be thought of as using a grid of adaptive tetrahedra to define inside and outside for an input geometry object.''

``(d) The Alpha Wrap method from [32] is applied to generate a large watertight uniformly meshed surface.''

The correct citation is ``Portaneri C, Rouxel-Labbé M, Hemmer M. et al. Alpha wrapping with an offset. ACM Transactions on Graphics (TOG) 2022;41:1–22. 10.1145/3528223.3530152''.

This has been corrected.
