PMCID: PMC12587350  PMID: 40604165

A. Lososová, P. Adams, and M. Miovský, “University‐Based Academic Programs in Addiction Studies in the Regions of Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand: An Overview,” Drug and Alcohol Review 44, no. 1 (2025): 239–253.

This Addiction Studies Major, being a specialisation in the Bachelor of Health Science at the Edith Cowan University in Australia, was not found in the original search period of time (2017).

a

This program no longer exists in 2022, and has been replaced with another one—general Bachelor of Psychology. While Bachelor of Psychology can still major in addiction studies, it no longer has a separate course code.

b

This program no longer exists in 2022.

c

This program no longer exists in 2022, and has been replaced by the Graduate Certificate in Public Health, without an addiction stream.

d

This program was not identified within the original search procedure but post hoc in 2025. Program represents a Major in Addiction Studies within the broader Bachelor of Health Science.

However, the authors agreed on the importance of it being included in Table 3, with a footnote stating that this program has been added additionally. Also, there has been updated information to another program provided at the same university (Psychology and Addiction Studies) in a footnote.

The full Table 3 is reproduced below with the additional information.

We apologise for this omission.
