Post-publication, an investigation conducted by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team on behalf of the journal identified references that are irrelevant to the article. Additionally, the Editor also found inconsistencies in reporting the types of interviews conducted (unstructured vs. semi-structured), no detailed reference to a prior study involving the same patients, an undefined unit of measurement for time to care for patients in Table 1, several typographical and grammatical errors including ambiguous phrasing in the inclusion/exclusion criteria, and unclear references to serious adverse effects.
The Editor reached out to the authors for an explanation regarding the concerns mentioned above, but they did not respond.
Therefore, the decision has been taken to issue an Expression of Concern informing readers of the identified concerns.
