The Editors-in-Chief have retracted this article. After publication, concerns were raised regarding the images presented in Figs. 2 and 4, specifically:

• Fig. 2b MCF-7 PBS and Leptin, and Fig. 4c MCF-7 Leptin+DMSO 0h images appear highly similar;

• Fig. 2c T47D PBS and Leptin images appear highly similar to Fig. 4d T47D Leptin+PPPA and Leptin images, respectively;

• Figs. 2c and 4d T47D Leptin images also appear to overlap with Fig. 4d T47D Leptin+DMSO image;

• Fig. 4b MCF-7 and T47D CyclinD1 blots appear highly similar;

• Fig. 4c MCF-7 Leptin+PPPA and PPPA 0h images appear highly similar;

• Fig. 4c T47D DMSO and Leptin 0h, PBS, Leptin+PPPA and PPPA 0h, and Leptin and Leptin+DMSO 24h images appear highly similar.

The Editors-in-Chief therefore no longer have confidence in the presented data.
