Retraction Note:

The Editor has retracted this article because of concerns regarding figures presented in this work. These concerns call into question the article’s overall scientific soundness. An investigation conducted after its publication discovered the following issues:

  • portions of the p-Tau band in Figure 1A appear to overlap with each other;

  • the background of the Actin band in Figure 3A appears to have been edited;

  • portions of the first, second, and fourth panels in bottom row of Figure 4A appear to overlap with one another. These panels represent tissues taken from animals subject to different experimental conditions;

  • portions of the p-Drp1 band in Figure 5A appear to overlap with each other.

The Editor therefore no longer has confidence in the integrity of the research presented in this article.

Eliezer Masliah has not stated whether he agrees or disagrees with the retraction. The Publisher has been informed that Edward Rockenstein has passed away. The Publisher was unable to contact the remaining authors.
