Upon publication of the original article [1], the authors noticed that Fig. S1F contained an error. The original Fig. S1F inadvertently contained images from another experimental project being carried out in the laboratory. To prevent any potential misunderstandings, correct images have now been put into the Figure. Figures S1G-S1H have been added as negative controls to demonstrate the specificity of primary and second antibody staining. The conclusions of the paper are unaffected.
Please see the correct figure below. Figures S1F-S1H:
Figure S1, related Figure 1. Reprogramming efficiency is diverse when degrading BRD4 in different days.
S1F: Immunofluorescence staining was performed to detect three germ layer markers in EBs in 12 days of differentiation which are derived from control-induced iPSCs and D0 AT6-induced iPSCs. The markers include AFP (endoderm), α-SMA (mesoderm), and Nestin (ectoderm), respectively. Scale bar = 100 μm.
S1G: Immunofluorescence staining was performed in the same samples as in S1F using only anti-Rabbit and anti-mouse secondary antibodies, as a negative control of the S1F experiment. Scale bar = 100 μm.
S1H: Undifferentiated iPSCs were used as a negative control to validate the specificity of antibody staining for the three germ layer markers. SOX2 staining was used to confirm the identity of iPSCs. Scale bar = 50 μm.
Furthermore, sentence "We also confirmed that the AT6-treated iPSCs contained normal pluripotency and differentiation potential" in section "Enhancing iPSC reprogramming efficiency by early inhibition of BRD4" reads "We also confirmed that the AT6-treated iPSCs contained normal pluripotency and differentiation potential (Additional file 1: Fig. S1E, S1F)" in the original manuscript, whereas it should in fact be "We also confirmed that the AT6-treated iPSCs contained normal pluripotency and differentiation potential (Additional file 1: Fig. S1E-S1H").
