Retraction Note To: Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology (2021) 147:2309–2322.10.1007/s00432-021-03661-z

The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article because of significant concerns regarding overlaps in a number of Figures presented in this work, which question the integrity of the data, specifically:

  1. Fig. 2b (VHL, panel i) with Fig. 4c (BRCA 2, neg. stain) of a previously published article (Basu et al. 2020a)

  2. Fig. 2b (HIF1α, panel i) with Fig. 5a (panel i) of an article published during the same time frame (Basu et al. 2020b)

  3. Fig. 2c (HIF1α, panel iii) with Fig. 5a (panel iv) of an article published during the same time frame (Basu et al. 2020b)

Therefore, the Editor-in-Chief has lost confidence in the reliability of the presented work.

Mukta Basu agrees to this retraction. Other authors have not responded to any correspondence from the editor/publisher about this retraction.
