Retraction Note: MC Complement Med Ther 13, 273 (2013)

The Editor is retracting this article because of concerns about a number of the figures. Specifically:
-
•
Fig. 20D and E appear to overlap with rotation;
-
•
Fig. 23A appears to overlap with Figs. 23E and 24F (with different magnification);
-
•
Fig. 23D appears to overlap with Fig. 24D (with different magnification);
-
•
Fig. 25A and F appear to overlap (with different magnification);
-
•
Fig. 26A appears to overlap with Fig. 26F;
-
•
Fig. 19B, 23C, 24B and 26B appear highly similar to those in another article by the same author group [1] reporting results obtained using a different plant.
Additionally, according to the Methods, six animals per group were used for the glucose tolerance test in healthy animals, but the results in Table 2 appear to represent n = 5 animals per group.
The Editor therefore no longer has confidence in the results and conclusions presented.
The authors have not responded to any correspondence from the Editor about this retraction.
