Correction for “A speleothem record from the Fertile Crescent covering the last deglaciation better contextualizes neolithization,” by Eleonora Regattieri, Luca Forti, Russell N. Drysdale, Hsun-Ming Hu, Chuan-Chou Shen, Irene Cornacchia, Samuele Agostini, Ilaria Isola, Cecilia Conati Barbaro, Daniele Morandi Bonacossi, Rafal Koliński, Michael L. Griffiths, and Andrea Zerboni, which published December 1, 2025; 10.1073/pnas.2502092122 (Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 122, e2502092122).
The authors note that Figs. 3 and 4 appeared incorrectly. “In Fig. 3, the gray bar and the labels identifying the periods discussed in the text (YD/GS1 and BA/GS2) were incorrectly positioned. The gray bar identifying the BA should cover the interval between 14.6 and 12.7 ka, while the white interval corresponding to the YD should be positioned between 12.9 and 11.7 ka. The labels should be shifted accordingly. In Fig. 4, only the gray bars are misplaced; these bars should be aligned identically to those in Fig. 3, as they are intended to represent the same time intervals and should therefore be consistently placed for both figures.”
The authors also note that on page 6, in the first line of main text below the Fig. 4 caption, the cross-reference to “SI Appendix, Figs. S3–S6” should instead cross-reference SI Appendix, Fig. S3–6 and appear as “SI Appendix, Fig. S3–6.”
