Abstract
The management of AIDS-related malignancies demands that the cancer must be treated in the context of patients already suffering from a fatal disease. Management must be problem-orientated. The standard cancer treatment of such a patient may not be appropriate in the AIDS setting. The AIDS related malignancies are Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) including primary cerebral lymphoma. Carcinoma of the cervix was recently added to this list, but has not been seen in this context in the UK.
