The authors regret the error in the representative β-actin image shown in Figure 4B, which requires correction. Additionally, clarification is necessary regarding the use of a shared β-actin loading control for multiple proteins of interest in Figures 7A, 8D and 10C, to ensure accuracy and transparency for readers.

During the final assembly of the Figure 4, an error occurred when the image was inadvertently sourced from an incorrect folder, due to a large numbers of figure subpanels in the article. A revised version of Figure 4, now containing the correct representative β-actin band in Panel B, is provided below.

Regarding Western blot assay in this study, membranes cutting were applied. This approach allows accurate quantitative analysis of multiple target proteins using the same internal controlling on a single membrane. Although a representative β-actin band was included in published Figures 7A, 8D, and 10C for illustrative purposes, the quantitative analysis was conducted using the appropriate β-actin controls matched to each specific target protein.

This procedure is now detailed in the revised “2.9. Western blot analysis” section under “Materials and Methods” as follows:

“Western blot membranes were cut into strips based on the molecular weights of the target proteins, including β-actin, to allow incubation with the appropriate primary and secondary antibodies. Proteins with similar molecular weights were run on separate gels and transferred to individual membranes. When target proteins and actin were present on the same PVDF membrane, the same actin band was used as the internal loading control for multiple target proteins. Due to the difference in optimal exposure times across the target proteins, protein strips with similar exposure requirements (clearly annotated with sample identities) were developed together.”

For greater accuracy and transparency, the corresponding β-actin bands have now been included for the target proteins that were run on the same gel, as shown in the revised representative Western blot panels in Figures 7A, 8D, and 10C below.

All corrections do not affect the statistical results or the overall conclusions of the study. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
