Correction to ‘DNA damage signaling induced by the G-quadruplex ligand 12459 is modulated by PPM1D/WIP1 phosphatase’

PMCID: PMC13129539  PMID: 42059205

This is a correction to: Céline Douarre, Xénia Mergui, Assitan Sidibe, Dennis Gomez, Patrizia Alberti, Patrick Mailliet, Chantal Trentesaux, Jean-François Riou, DNA damage signaling induced by the G-quadruplex ligand 12 459 is modulated by PPM1D/WIP1 phosphatase, Nucleic Acids Research, Volume 41, Issue 6, 1 April 2013, Pages 3588–3599, https://doi.org/10.1093/nar/gkt073

In November 2025, concerns were raised on PubPeer (https://pubpeer.com/publications/8125E2B29BC285753A3BF08B607988) about the potential duplication of the NAC + H2O2 Hoechst stain in A549 cells in Figure 8. The authors have reviewed the issue and now wish to provide a corrected version of Figure 8.

During preparation of the figure, the Hoechst–stained image for the NAC + H₂O₂ control condition was inadvertently replaced with a duplicate of the NAC control image originating from earlier data. This resulted in two identical Hoechst panels being presented in the published figure.

The authors have retrieved the original data from archived files and provided the correct Hoechst image for the NAC + H₂O₂ condition. The corrected version of Figure 8 is shown below, with only the affected panel replaced. No other part of the figure has been altered.

This correction does not affect the results, discussion and conclusions presented in the article. These details have been corrected only in this correction notice to preserve the published version of record.
