The Editors have retracted this article following post-publication concerns regarding the validity and reproducibility of the reported findings. A post-publication review identified inconsistencies between the methodology described and the underlying CDC WONDER data, including non-reproducible datasets, mismatched study populations, unsupported age and race/ethnicity classifications, and numerical inconsistencies in the reported results. The authors were invited to respond to these concerns, but the issues identified during the investigation could not be resolved. The Editors, therefore, have lost confidence in the results reported in this article.
