We thank Dr. Luo1 for his interest in our study evaluating the kidney replacement therapy risk-prediction calculator in Korean children with chronic kidney disease and for his thoughtful comments regarding its clinical application.2
As pointed out in the letter, we identified an error in the abstract during manuscript review. Specifically, the number of patients in group 1 was incorrectly reported, and the calibration slopes were inaccurately described. The corrected values are as follows: group 1, 0.894–0.908; and group 2, 0.860–0.874. We will publish a formal correction accordingly.
We also acknowledge that further recalibration and setting-specific refinement are required before broader implementation in Korean pediatric chronic kidney disease practice. In line with this, we are currently developing a prediction model optimized for Korean children with chronic kidney disease and plan to include recalibrated performance analyses in future studies to improve clinical applicability and validity.
