Correction to ‘Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Patients in a Prospective Study of NA Discontinuation Identifies Different Patterns of HBsAg Loss’

PMCID: PMC13397404  PMID: 42447433

Hume S.J., Hall S., Burns G., et al., “Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Patients in a Prospective Study of NA Discontinuation Identifies Different Patterns of HBsAg Loss,” Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics 63, no. 2 (2026): 231‐241. 10.1111/apt.70332.

In the published version of the above article, we identified the typographical errors listed below.

  • –

In the Results section, under section 3.2 HBsAg Loss, in the fifth sentence of the fifth paragraph the sentence ‘Of the 77 participants who experienced hepatitis flare accompanied by a marked off‐ treatment rise in HBV DNA (≥ 4 log10 IU/mL), 58 (75%) were re‐treated’ should read:

    Of the 77 participants who experienced a marked off‐treatment rise in HBV DNA (≥ 4 log10 IU/mL), 58 (75%) were re‐treated .

  • –

In Table 2, the odds ratio for the association between major flare (ALT > 10× ULN) and HBsAg loss is reported as 0.33 (95% CI 0.07–166), p = 0.178. However, a decimal point is missing from the upper limit of the confidence interval. The correct value is 0.33 (95% CI 0.07–1.66), p = 0.178.

  • –

In the Results section, under section 3.2 HBsAg Loss, in the second sentence of the final paragraph the word ‘loss’ has been omitted, and the sentence should read:

Amongst participants who experienced ALT flare (ALT > 2× ULN), HBsAg loss was more common in non‐re‐treated patients compared to re‐treated patients [3/9 (33.33%) vs. 2/45 (4.44%), p = 0.028].

We apologize for these errors.
