Dear Editor,

We thank the authors for their interest in our recently published article, “An account of the healthcare-seeking behavior of the public in response to a healthcare emergency (coronavirus disease 2019): The Saudi community experience,” and for their positive comments on the work. We appreciate their recognition of the importance of understanding healthcare-seeking behavior during public health emergencies and their thoughtful discussion of the broader implications of our findings.

We also thank the authors for highlighting additional factors that are likely to influence healthcare-seeking behavior, including socioeconomic, logistical, and behavioral determinants. Their suggestions on the use of qualitative methods, multivariable analyses, and linkage with clinical outcomes are valuable and will be considered in future explorations of this important topic.

We are grateful for their constructive comments and believe that their observations complement our findings and contribute to the ongoing discussion on the utilization of healthcare and the state of preparedness for public health emergencies.
