This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier policy on article withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/policies-and-standards/article-withdrawal).

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor.

Post-publication, an investigation conducted by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team on behalf of the journal, has found that ethical approval was not provided for the research presented in this publication. This breaches the journal's policy on ethical approvals.

The investigation also discovered suspicious changes in authorship between the original submission and the revised version of this paper. During revision, five authors were added to the paper and two were removed. This was approved by the journal at the time, but in light of the new investigation the Editor has determined that the authorship and the findings of the article cannot be relied upon.

Lastly, table three has unusual mean+/-SEM values that occurred multiple times. The authors were asked to explain this but explained they had a laptop failure and were not able to provide the raw data. They did however provide a corrected table.

Consequently, the Editor has lost confidence in the integrity, results and conclusions of the article and has determined it should be retracted.

The authors disagree with retraction and dispute the grounds for it.
