Following publication of this article on additional review of prior data, the following errors were noted in figure 5 and in the Results section:
In figure 5A, the images used are from the wrong experimental conditions. The images have been updated to a confirmed specimen used in the included experiments.
For the experimental conditions control CAR-T and IgG control antibody, anti-CEA CAR-T and IgG control antibody, and anti-CEA CAR-T and anti-IL-10 antibody, an additional experiment from a separate human tumour specimen was discovered such that the sample size n=4. For the experimental condition control CAR-T and anti-IL-10 antibody, two of the experimental conditions are unavailable and rather than a sample size of 4, the sample size is n=2 for this condition.
In the subsection “IL-10 blockade facilitates CAR-T-mediated tumour cell death”of the Results, there absolute numbers of apoptotic cells, carcinoma cells with CAR-T nearby, and apoptotic carcinoma cells with CAR-T nearby are updated to reflect the findings with the updated sample sizes. The authors confirm that the overall findings are unchanged and that statistical significance including p-values are the same in differentiating among experimental groups.
In the bar charts of figure 5B–D, the data have been updated to include the additional hpf from the correct sample size for each of the conditions. The authors confirm the p-values and means reported on this graph are correct.
With this correction, the authors provide a revised figure 5 in which the incorrect images are replaced with the correct images from the original experiments and the absolute values such as means in the texts of the Results and in the bar charts are also corrected. The figure 5 legend is also updated to reflect the updated sample sizes for each experimental condition.
