In the original publication of this article [1], the authors identified the textual errors. For completeness and transparency, the incorrect and correct texts are displayed below.

In Results section under the heading “Association between cuCTI/CTI changes and stroke risk”, the sentence should read, “A restricted cubic spline regression model adjusting variables from Model 3 indicated a linear increase in stroke risk with increasing cuCTI (P for nonlinearity = 0.82)” instead of “A restricted cubic spline regression model adjusting variables from Model 3 indicated a linear increase in stroke risk with increasing cuCTI (P for nonlinearity < 0.001)”.

In the fourth paragraph of Discussion section, the sentence should read, “For example, even a slight increase in the persistently high-level group may reflect a vicious cycle of inflammation and metabolic dysregulation; this subgroup is associated with a higher stroke risk, particularly among women and non-smokers” instead of “For example, even a slight increase in the persistently high-level group may reflect a vicious cycle of inflammation and metabolic dysregulation, which is associated with higher stroke risk, particularly among women and non-smokers”.

In the same section, the beginning of fifth paragraph should read, “In head-to-head comparisons using baseline single measurements, CTI outperformed its individual components in discriminating stroke risk. Specifically, it surpassed CRP at the 7-year follow-up and TyG at the 9-year follow-up. This supports the value of combining inflammation and insulin resistance into a composite index. However, this incremental improvement showed time-window dependence” instead of “ Our study also reveals that the diagnostic performance of CTI and its cumulative exposure (cuCTI) in stroke prediction surpasses that of TyG or CRP alone.”

In the sixth paragraph, the following sentence should be removed including the references [51, 52]:

However, previous research has shown that self-reported stroke events are generally consistent with medical records [51, 52].
