In the May 2026 issue of Journal of Spine Surgery, the article “Real-world outcomes of minimally invasive posterior thoracic and lumbar spine fusion surgery versus open surgery in the Finnish Spine Registry” authored by Huttunen et al. (1) was published with an error in the abstract during the editorial typesetting process.
The term “European Quality of Life Visual Analog Scale (EQ-VAS)” appeared four times in the text. Therefore, the sentence in the abstract should be corrected from “Mean Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), European Quality of Life Visual Analog Scale (EQ-VAS), European Quality of Life Visual Analog Scale (EQ-VAS), European Quality of Life Visual Analog Scale (EQ-VAS), and European Quality of Life Visual Analog Scale (EQ-VAS) were numerically lower and higher, respectively, than baseline at all evaluated timepoints up to 2 years” to “Mean Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and European Quality of Life Visual Analog Scale (EQ-VAS) were numerically lower and higher, respectively, than baseline at all evaluated timepoints up to 2 years”.
The editorial office apologizes for the typesetting error and the inconvenience caused.
