We, the Publisher and Editor of the journal Drug Design, Development and Therapy, are issuing an Expression of Concern for the published article.
Following publication, concerns were raised by a third party in 2025 about the integrity of images in Figure 2 of the article due to a duplicate image that is representative of different spheroid samples. As part of the investigation, the authors were asked for any information that would help to confirm the validity of the images.
The authors have responded and explained that the raw data is no longer available; however, the Editor confirms that the concerns raised do not affect the overall validity or integrity of the reported findings. We advise readers to interpret the information presented in Figure 2 with due caution.
The authors have been notified about this Expression of Concern. Should further information come to light, the journal will reassess any concern raised.
